Six Flags Fiesta Texas is one of the most popular theme parks in Texas and a preferred destination for tourists all over the country. The park is located in San Antonio on approximately 200 acres of land. Its popularity is given by the fact that it’s a multidimensional theme park, offering its visitors the opportunity to experience various activities, from waterslides to roller coasters. And if we are talking about roller coasters, y
ou should know that Fiesta Texas offers some of the best rides, the most popular being the Superman Krypton Coaster, but also Tony Hawk’s Big Spin, Iron Rattler and the Poltergeist are worth a chance. Yet, since all of these are for older children and adults, families with young kids often prefer Daffy’s School Bus Express, Taz’s Tornado, The Crow’s Nest ferris wheel and Scooby Doo Ghostblasters. The first roller coaster, KiddeeKoaster, opened in 1922 and it is located in the park’s area suggestively named KIDZOPOLIS while the newest one, Iron Rattler, opened in 2013 and it’s a steel hybrid in the area Crackaxle Canyon.
During the summer, one of the most popular attractions is the White Water Bay – an awesome waterpark that offers a fun experience due to its variety of water rides for the whole family. Fiesta Texas daily hosts several shows on its various stages and theatres, from concerts to bungee artists, acrobatics and skateboarding. In addition to this, from May 27 to August 13, a laser and fireworks show is featured every night from 9 pm.
Full price tickets cost $64.99, children under 48” pay $51.99 while children under the age of 2 enter for free. However, some money can be saved (up to 20%) if you buy the tickets online and even more if you purchase one of the season passes.
The park is open all year and organizes special events on Christmas and New Year’s Eve. If you travel through Texas make sure to save at least one day for this amazing and fun experience.
