you ever been curious about how a dinosaur track looks like in reality? At the Dinosaur Valley State Park, in Glen Rose, Texas, you have the DINOSAURopportunity to see real dinosaur tracks, marks of history that will take you back in time before the age of humans. The park, with a surface of about 1,524.72 acres, was opened to the public in 1972. It hosts some of the largest natural attractions in Texas and some of the best preserved dinosaur tracks in the world, from the early Cretaceous Period, around 113 million years ago. There are also two fiberglass models, a 45-foot Tyrannosaurus Rex and a 70-foot Apatosaurus. In order to be able to identify the dinosaur tracks, you can use a smartphone or any other mobile device with gps and some digital dinosaurs track maps available online

Besides viewing the tracks, tourists can take part in various outdoor activities, from swimming and fishing to camping, hiking and mountain biking. You can also join some of the Ranger programs that offer many educational opportunities and the kids can ask for the free Junior Ranger Explorer Packs, containing guides on how to identify the wildlife and plants, a sketchbook with pencil, crayons and watercolors, an animal tracking key, a magnifying glass, a pair of binoculars and a journal where they can write down what they see and learn. More than that, children under 12 years old have free entrance to the park, while everybody over 13 has to pay $7. Also, campsites can be rented for a fee of $15/day for the “primitive” ones, without water or restrooms and $25/day for the ones with water and electricity.

All in all, the Dinosaur Valley State Park in Texas can be an interesting and complex adventure for the whole family, both fun and educational. Do not miss it
